Car-Bike Collision in Hemmady: Bike Rider Dies
Kundapur: A 60-year-old motorcycle rider died after a car collided with his bike from behind on National Highway 66 near Kannadakudru Cross in Hemmady village on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Narasimha Achar, a resident of Santosh Nagar in Hemmady.
According to the complaint, the accident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday when Narasimha Achar was travelling from Trasi towards Kundapur on his motorcycle. A car travelling in the same direction allegedly rammed into his motorcycle from behind.
Due to the impact, Achar was thrown onto the road along with his motorcycle and sustained serious head injuries. He also suffered bleeding from his ears and nose and sustained injuries to various parts of his body, including his hands and legs.
He was unconscious following the accident. With the help of locals, Ibrahim Gangolli, an MHI ambulance operator from Gangolli, attempted to transport Achar to Kundapur Government Hospital. However, Achar had already succumbed to his injuries.
A case has been registered at the Kundapur Traffic Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
