Jaya Shree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti Holds Memorable Social Get-Together in Dubai
Dubai: Jaya Shree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti, an NGO committed to environmental awareness and social welfare, organised a social get-together at the Fortune Atrium in Dubai on August 13, 2026.
The programme was presided over by Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty, Founder of Jaya Shree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti. The welcome address was delivered by Sarvotham Shetty, Convener of the UAE Samiti.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Ronald Colaco, NRI Distinguished Fellow, Institute of Directors (India-Global); Dr. B. R. Shetty, well-known industrialist and UAE-based business leader; Dharmapal Devadiga, President of Vishwa Devadiga Mahamandala; Ronald Pinto; and Hidayath Adur.
The dignitaries jointly inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp, symbolising knowledge, unity and the spirit of social service.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Ronald Colaco highlighted the importance of community participation, environmental responsibility and collective efforts towards building a sustainable society.
In his introductory address, Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty spoke about the objectives and activities of the Jaya Shree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti and its commitment to environmental protection and social causes.
Dr. B. R. Shetty, Dharmapal Devadiga, and Frank Fernandes appreciated the Samiti’s initiatives and extended their best wishes for its continued service to society.
The distinguished guests emphasised that development and environmental protection must go hand in hand. They stressed the need to promote industrialisation, tourism and commercial activities for the overall development of undivided Dakshina Kannada district and Coastal Karnataka.
They highlighted the importance of controlling pollution while encouraging responsible industrial growth and development. By promoting tourism and commercial activities and making effective use of the region’s potential, greater employment opportunities can be created locally, thereby contributing to the eradication of poverty.
Speaking on environmental protection, the guests emphasised that protecting air, water and earth is the responsibility of every individual. They called upon people to keep their surroundings clean, conserve natural resources and ensure that development activities follow environmentally responsible practices.
Addressing the importance of social harmony, they conveyed a powerful message: “Loving our own caste and religion is our responsibility, but loving and respecting other castes and religions is our supreme responsibility.” They stressed that mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and humanity are the foundations of a progressive and harmonious society.
Following the speeches, Thonse Jayakrishna A. Shetty honoured Dr. Ronald Colaco and Dr. B. R. Shetty in recognition of their valuable contributions to environmental awareness, social service, industrial development and community welfare.
The dignitaries and members of the Samiti conveyed their appreciation and congratulations to the honoured guests.
The programme served as a meaningful platform highlighting the importance of environmental protection, economic development, employment generation, social harmony and collective responsibility.
The social get-together also provided an excellent platform for prominent NRI Kannadigas residing in the UAE, leaders of Karnataka-oriented organisations and well-wishers to meet, exchange ideas, strengthen friendship and fellowship, and further reinforce their social commitment and unity.
The programme concluded on a cordial note with dinner, bringing the social get-together to a memorable close.
