Mangaluru: In a road mishap a mother and son were injured near NMPT Junction here on January 20.
The injured have been identified as Shantha Bai (52) and her son Shrishail (28), a resident of Mulky.
According to police, Shrishail was driving his Swift car towards Mulky after visiting the doctor in Mangalore. When their car reached near NMPT Junction, it rammed into the tanker from behind.
Shrishail and Shantha Bai were severely injured. The police with the help of the locals pulled the mother and the son out from the car and rushed them to the nearby hospital. Their condition is said to be critical.
A case has been registered in the Suratkal police station.
