Silver Jubilee Year: Enrolment for Manipal Arogya Card 2025 Begins
Manipal: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) proudly announces the commencement of enrolment for the Manipal Arogya Card 2025, marking a remarkable 25 years of service in delivering affordable and accessible healthcare to millions of families across Karnataka and neighbouring states.
Addressing the media, Dr. H.S. Ballal, Pro-Chancellor of MAHE, officially launched the enrolment drive. Reflecting on the origins of the initiative, Dr. Ballal honored the visionary leadership of Dr. T.M.A. Pai, founder of the Manipal Institute, whose mission was to make healthcare and education accessible to rural India.
“The Manipal Arogya Card scheme, launched in 2000 under the guidance of Dr. Ramdas M. Pai, Chancellor of MAHE, has now reached a Silver Jubilee milestone. Over 25 years, it has touched the lives of crores of beneficiaries. With great pride, I announce the opening of enrolment for the 2025 edition of the Manipal Arogya Card,” said Dr. Ballal.
In the year 2000, we had enrolled 3,200 families, last financial year we enrolled 1.25 lakhs families under these schemes, and we have 6.72 lakhs members under this scheme. Benefiting millions of families across Karnataka and neighbouring states. Cardholders can access benefits at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal; Dr. TMA Pai Hospital, Udupi; Dr. TMA Pai Rotary Hospital, Karkala; KMC Hospitals, Mangalore and Attavar; Durga Sanjeevani Manipal Hospital, Kateel; Manipal Hospital, Goa, and dental and Ayurveda hospitals in Manipal and Mangalore.
Lt Gen (Dr) M.D. Venkatesh, Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, emphasized the enhanced membership structure introduced this year: “we are offering both one-year and two-year membership options. The pricing structure ensures affordability for all sections of society.”
Membership Details:
For the one-year scheme, individual membership is available at ₹350, family membership, which includes the individual, their spouse, and any number of unmarried children below 25 years, is priced at ₹700. The family plus membership, which covers the individual, their spouse, any number of unmarried children below 25 years, and up to four parents, including in-laws, is available at ₹900. For the two-year scheme, individual membership is offered at ₹600, family membership at ₹950, and family plus membership at ₹1100. This structured approach ensures that comprehensive healthcare is accessible and affordable for individuals and families alike.
