Subrahmanya: Two Youths Drown in Kumaradhara River

Subrahmanya: Two young men drowned in the Kumaradhara River near the renowned pilgrimage site of Subrahmanya on Sunday. The victims have been identified as Hariprasad, aged 37, and Sujith, aged 26, both residents of Kollamogru village in Sullia taluk.

According to reports, the two unmarried men had ventured to the Kumaradhara River near Kulkunda with a group of friends for a recreational bath. Circumstances took a fatal turn when both Hariprasad and Sujith accidentally drowned in the river’s waters.

Search and rescue operations were promptly initiated, leading to the eventual retrieval of both bodies from the river. The Subrahmanya police department has officially registered a case concerning the incident. It has commenced investigations into the sequence of events that led to the unfortunate demise of the two individuals.
