Woman Arrested in Mangaluru Drug Bust; 153 Grams of MDMA Worth Rs 15.30 Lakh Seized

Mangaluru: Mangaluru North Police have arrested a 42-year-old woman for allegedly supplying narcotic substances to youths and students in the city. Police seized 153 grams of MDMA, estimated to be worth Rs 15.30 lakh, from her possession.

The arrested woman has been identified as Naseema, alias Naseema (42), wife of Rafiq and a resident of Guringana House in Layila village, Belthangady taluk, Dakshina Kannada district.

According to police, during the investigation into a drug consumption case registered at Mangaluru North Police Station on November 1, 2026, investigators received information about Naseema’s alleged involvement in supplying narcotic substances to the accused in that case.

Acting on the information, police investigated the suspected drug supply network and raided Flat No. 103 on the first floor of Radha Residency Apartments near Ujjodi, Pumpwell. During the search, they seized 153 grams of MDMA allegedly stored in the flat. The seized substance is estimated to be worth Rs 15,30,000, police said.

During questioning, the woman reportedly revealed that she had been selling narcotic substances to youths and students across Mangaluru city.

The accused was produced before a court, which remanded her to judicial custody.

Police suspect that several others may also be involved in the drug supply network and have continued their investigation to identify and arrest them.

Officers and personnel of Mangaluru North Police Station were involved in the operation to trace the accused and seize the narcotic substance.
