Mangaluru: A 50-year-old woman was killed after a lorry ran over her at Thokkottu here, on April 26.
The deceased has been identified as Mymuna (50), wife of Ahmed Bava a resident of Krishnapura.
According to the police, Mymuna along with her son Shabbir were going to Thokkottu from Krishnapura. At Thokkottu, a lorry hit the two wheeler in which she was riding pillion. Due to the impact, Mymuna was thrown to the road and the lorry ran over her, killing her on the spot.
The traffic in the area was blocked for more than an hour. The Ullal police arrived to the spot and cleared the jam. The body has been sent to the Government hospital for post mortem.
A case has been registered in the Ullal Police Station.
