36-year-old man Poisons Wife and Daughter and Commits Suicide
Dharwad: In a tragic incident a 36-year-old man in fear of losing his job due to the Corona Pendamic, allegedly committed suicide by hanging after feeding poison-laced food to his wife and daughter in Kavalikayi, Dharwad here on July 25.
The deceased have been identified as Mounesh Pattar (36), his wife Arpitha (28), and daughter Sukratha (4) from Gadag.
According to sources, Mounesh from Gadag was working in a private company and residing in Dharwad. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, and an increase in the number of positive cases in Dharwad, he was depressed thinking that he may lose his job. On July 24 late night, Mounesh fed his wife and daughter with poison-laced food before committing suicide by hanging himself.
The incident came to light on July 25 morning. The Sub-urban police visited the spot for further investigations.
