64-year-old Woman Killed in Road Mishap at Saligrama
Udupi: A 64-year-old pedestrian was knocked down by a speeding car in front of the Saligrama Town Panchayat here on Saturday, May 14.
The deceased has been identified as Lacchi Poojarthy (64), a resident of Pramapalli near Saligrama.
According to police sources, when Lacchi was crossing the road, a speeding car which was coming from the city knocked her down.
Lacchi suffered head injuries and was rushed to a private hospital nearby, where after failing to respond to treatment, she breathed her last.
A case has been registered in the Kota police station.
