Denial of Ticket, Satyajit Suratkal Blames MP Nalin Kumar Kateel

Mangaluru: Satyajit Suratkal Abhimani Balaga held a meeting at Hosabettu, against the BJP for denying him the ticket to the State Secretary of BJP Backward Morcha Satyajit Suratkal to contest in the forthcoming elections, on April 22.

Satyajit Suratkal’s supporters insisted him to contest as an independent candidate after he was denied the ticket from BJP to contest from the Mangaluru North Constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, Satyajit Suratkal said, “I have worked hard for the BJP from the past 35 years neglecting my personal life. I have discharged whatever duties given to me with integrity. I was an aspirant to contest the elections from the Mangaluru North Constituency but the party has denied me the ticket. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and RSS leader P S Prakash are directly responsible for denying me the Ticket to contest the forthcoming assembly elections. They should clarify on the issue on April 23 before 10:00 am after which I will take a decision.”

Satyajit further said, “When MP Nalin was contesting for the Lok Sabha elections, I have worked hard for his success. But when I have aspired for the ticket, I was denied, MP Nalin Kumar and Prakash are directly responsible for denying me the ticket. MP Nalin says that the National president’s decision was final in selecting the candidates which is not true and I do not accept it. Even Krishna J Palemar has said that MP Nalin was responsible for denying him the ticket. I request the party leaders to do justice to me. If I do not get justice, I will take my decision without hurting the sentiments of my supporters.

Satyajit also said, “As soon as the third list of the candidates was announced, my supporters started pressurizing me to contest in the elections as an independent candidate. They have time to correct their mistake. Let the party decide on the issue before 10:00 am on April 23.”

More than 650 supporters participated in the meeting. Mahabala Poojary Kadambodi, Satish Munchur, Kailash Tadambail, Harish Munchur, Ravi Poojary, Naveen Suvarna, Pushparaj Kulai, Loku Thokur, Manoj Arasu, Harish Matty, Sukumar Gurupur, Jayanand Chelar and others were also present.
