Lerne Deutsch! Learn German! Seeking Jobs in Germany, Learn German?
Mangaluru: How are You? Wie geht es Ihnen? Nice to meet you-Schön dich zu treffen; Thank you very much- dankeschön; Excuse me!- Entschuldigung! Okay- you have now learnt a little bit of German language. But if you are looking to learn much more of basic German language here is an opportunity for you, offered by Sandesha Foundation and Edvio Language Institute-Mangaluru, where they will be launching German Language courses on the premises of the Foundation from July 16.
Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore press club, Goind Belgaumkar-Chief Language Trainer, Edvio Language Institute, Mangaluru said, ” We train students for the examinations conducted by Max Mueller Bhavan/Goethe Institute, which is the German Government agency to issue internationally-valid certificates for German language proficiency. Such a certificate is necessary for anyone who aspires to pursue higher studies or seeks a job in Germany.”
“Why is Germany important…Unlike other countries, most German Universities collect NO TUITION FEE. This makes learning in Germany affordable. The students from India, who get into German Universities, can also work for four hours a day on part-time basis. This way, they can get highly-valued degrees almost without burdening their parents. German qualification in a student’s resume is valued high thereby enabling the student to enhance her/his earning ability multi-fold. This is because German universities are known for high standard of education. As a student visa you can work 240 days a year, 4 hours per day while in Germany. ” added Govind.
He further said, ” Germany is also looking for talents from India. Indian students constitute 2nd largest group of International students in German Universities. The number of Indian students in Germany has doubled in last five years. (Aachan, Munich, Darmstadt, Hamburg are popular destinations). BBC has reported that “Germany has been named as the most supportive country for overseas students, in an international league table.” Germany sponsors 60,000 international scholarships every year through DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). Students may visit its website (daad.org) for many useful services. Those who seek jobs in India are also learning German because many MNCs are hiring them. (For example Siemens, Bosch, Mercedez Benz; software call centres, BPOs, Deutsche Bank, Amazon, HT, etc)”
Also speaking during the press meet, Fr Victor Vijay Lobo-director, Sandesha Foundation, Mangaluru said, “A unique feature of the course with us is that up to five seats are offered to the economically disadvantaged candidates from colleges. The Principals will have to certify/recommend them. Such candidates will have to attend 90 per cent of the classes to be eligible for a refund of 30 per cent of the tuition fees. Also, if we get more than 20 students to write the examination, Max Mueller Bhavan, Bangalore is likely to hold examinations in Mangaluru.
The classes are at present scheduled for evenings – 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. which are subject to change depending on the requirements of the students. At present, we offer A1 level (first of the six levels). Students get 120 hours of coaching in a span of three months. Those interested may dial 78996-21036, or 2213278, or 2225480 for details.”
