Negligence and overspeeding Major Causes for Maximum Road Accidents – ASI Jnana Shekhar

Mangaluru: “Human negligence and overspeeding are the two major causes for the maximum number of road accidents.” said ASI Jnana Shekhar, here at a “Traffic Management and Road Safety programme” held on 12 July 2018, at Dr P Dayanada Pai- P Sathisha Pai Government First Grade College Mangalore, Carstreet.

Addressing the students, he explained the safety rules to be followed and the role they can play in reducing the number of accidents on the road.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Rajashekar Hebbar, Principal of the College said, it is very important to be cautious while riding two-wheelers or crossing the road. He urged the students to follow safety road measures.

The programme was organized by the Youth Red Cross and Rovers/ Rangers of the College in Association with the Traffic West Police Station, Pandeshwar. SI Uday, Chandrashekhar, Manikant, Youth Red Cross Officer, Dr Mahesh K.B. and Rover Officer Prof. PurushothamBhat were present. Ranger Officer Dr Shaila Rani compered the programme.
