Udupi: In a series of thefts, robbers made away with cash and other valuables worth around Rs. 1 lakh at Alevoor here on the night of March 31.
According to the police, the thieves struck at three shops namely Sathish Stores, Sai Ganesh Stores and Power Solutions located on the main road of Kukkikatte – Alevoor. They made away with around Rs 80,000 in cash, 4 mobiles and other valuable items.
The incident came to light in the morning of April 1, when shop owners came to open their shops. The Manipal and Udupi Town Police visited the spot along with a dog squad and fingerprints experts. A case has been registered.
