Car Rams into Rock near Nakre – 1 Dead, Four Injured
Karkala: A family returning to Udupi by Ranganapalke route after a house-warming ceremony near Nakre met with a road mishap on Saturday around 2-30 pm.
The car they were travelling in hit a rock by the side of the road at Gundyadka and landed in a mangled state. A tyre burst after the collision. Sadananda Suvarna (70) of Ambalapady in Udupi is said to have died on the spot.
His wife Girija was severely injuries. Other injured persons are their daughter Supreeta, son-in-law Mahesh and grandson Manasa.
A case has been registered in the town police station.
