EXIT Examinations held for Outgoing Batch of BSc Fr Muller College of Nursing Students

Mangaluru: Nursing EXIT EXAM test students’ ability to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios. These exams help prepare future nurses for the challenges they will face in their professional careers, including critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. The EXIT EXAMINATIONS for the outgoing batch of the B.Sc nursing programme was held on October 13 and 14, 2023; initiated under the guidance of Rev. Sr Jacintha D’Souza, Principal at Father Muller College of Nursing, Mangaluru.

ABOUT THE EXIT EXAMINATION

An exit examination is a test conducted as part of a comprehensive standards-based education reform programme that sets new standards intended to increase the learning of all students. The exam is given to students towards the end of their higher education tenure and is used to measure the general level of education and standard of education received at a learning institution. The exit exams help colleges to improve the quality of education in any specific course or department. Exit exams can be vital to the improvement of academic programme quality and effectiveness.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the exit exams is to assess students’ educational achievement in the courses in their major area of programme study (programme’s learning outcomes).

OBJECTIVE

To evaluate the essential competencies (Knowledge and skill) achieved by the outgoing batch of students.

Method of Assessment or Evaluation :

The exit exam will be conducted at the end of the tenure of the study programme.; An online MCQ test will be conducted to measure the cognitive domain (LMS portal).; Skills will be assessed by OSCE and OSPE methods.
