Siddaramaiah terms Union Budget ‘direction-less’

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has termed the Union Budget 2018 as “direction-less and vision-less” and said it was presented with an eye on the next year’s Lok Sabha elections.

Reacting to various proposals made in the Budget by Finance Minister Arun Jaitely on Wednesday, Mr. Siddaramaiah said the Modi government has made several false promises to woo voters ahead of next year’s polls.

The Budget has not come to the rescue of farmers, who were under severe financial distress owing to crop loss and decline in the commodity prices. The Budget has refrained from announcing short-term crop loan waiver and not provided relief to farmers.

He said the Budget had not addressed the difficulties of the common man. The new health insurance scheme was announced without any funds being allocated. “The Budget is not growth oriented. It has no focus on accelerating the farm growth rate,” Mr. Siddaramaiah said.

Wake up Sid. Smell the coffee. Learn to give credit where it is due.
It will be Modi all the way.

How could Siddu understand the budget when his mind is biased and his brain is dead. For him, it is easy to criticize even without going through the budget which probably his fickle mind is incapable to digest.
