TAK to Hold Five-day ‘Vishwa Tuluvere Ayono – 2016’ at Badiadka
Mangaluru: “To mark the Decennial of Tuluvere Ayono Kooto, the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy in association with Akhila Bharat Tulu Okkootta, Prasar Bharati Broadcasting Corporation and Kerala Tulu Academy will hold a five-day programme, ‘Vishwa Tuluvere Ayono – 2016’ at Badiadka, from December 9 – 13”, said the president of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha and Social activist Sarvotham Shetty in a press meet held at the Press club Urwa here on November 21.
Addressing the mediapersons, Sarvotham Shetty said, “The Tuluvere Ayono Kooto (R), Badiadka is celebrating its decennial and to mark this day we are holding a five-day programme. The programme will highlight the rich culture of Tulunadu. It will also help to include Tulu language in 8th schedule of the constitution. More than a lakh of Tulu speaking people from around the world are expected to take part in the programme.
Sarvotham further said, “During the programme, Vishwa Tuluvere Ayono Tulu Ratna award will be conferred on Tulu Literatures Dr U P Upadyaya and Amrut Someshwar. On December 11, a special programme will be held for the NRI Tuluvas.
Sarvotham Shetty urged the Tuluvas from around the world to contribute generously to make the programme a grand success.
