Taylor Swift fine after split from Calvin Harris

Los Angeles, June 10 (IANS) Singer Taylor Swift’s friend and country music star Kelsea Ballerini believes the “Blank space” hitmaker is “fine”, despite her recent split from Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.

Ballerini is confident she will be alright because she is such a “strong” person, reports etonline.com.

“She is incredible. She is a strong chick, I’m sure she’s fine,” Ballerini said at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday.

However, the 22-year-old singer admitted she was sad the couple had called it a day.

“It’s a bummer,” she said.

Alec Baldwin mocks celebrities

New York, June 10 (IANS) Actor Alec Baldwin has mocked celebrities like Rihanna, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kim Kardashian West.

Hosting the Fragrance Foundation Awards here, Baldwin had the audience in fits of laughter with a string of jibes at a number of famous names on Tuesday, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

He poked fun at DiCaprio’s frequent dates with models when he noticed Hearst executive Michael Clinton was in attendance.

“He’s been in and out of more countries than Leonardo DiCaprio has been in and out of Victoria’s Secret models,” Baldwin said.

Baldwin also mocked Kim’s self-titled perfume.

“It’s the only Armenian fragrance that isn’t found on the dashboard of a taxi cab. The top half of the bottle is beautiful. The bottom half looks like a mailbox. People keep stuffing envelopes in there. When you spray it, the smell does nothing, but it’s still very rich,” the “30 Rock” actor said.

Singer Rihanna, who was nominated for Best Celebrity Fragrance, inspired the 58-year-old comic’s joke at her expense.

He said: “A lot of time and patience went into making this perfume, because it’s the only thing she actually wears.”

Dory’s journey is relatable, says DeGeneres

Los Angeles, June 10 (IANS) TV host Ellen DeGeneres, who voices Dory in Disney Pixar’s forthcoming animation feature “Finding Dory”, says everyone can relate to the character’s journey.

“Dory is trying to find her family and she wants to belong. It is something she is emotional about, and it is something everyone relates with. Family is something that takes care of you and nurtures you and when you have lost that, and you want to get that back, it’s pretty easy to get emotional about it,” DeGeneres said in a statement.

However, voicing the character wasn’t entirely a serious affair for DeGeneres.

“It was fun, too, because when you are acting in a regular film, you have facial expressions or different mannerisms or the way you stand or tilt your head or anything that expresses emotion, but when it’s just your voice, it really all has to come through,” she said.

“Especially when it’s a fish. It’s important to get those emotions very purely across, and especially something as subtle as not full-on crying, but that kind of sadness or grief… I love a challenge like that,” DeGeneres added.

The sequel to the film “Finding Nemo”, “Finding Dory” also features the voices of Albert Brooks as Marlin, Ty Burrell as Bailey, Kaitlin Olson as Destiny, Ed O’Neill as Hank, Diane Keaton as Jenny and Eugene Levy as Charlie.

The film releases in India on June 17 in Hindi and English in IMAX and 3D.

Prince’s former beau gets inked for him

Los Angeles, June 10 (IANS) Mayte Garcia, who was married to late singer Prince, showed off an elaborate inking on her hand as a tribute to him.

Garcia was married to the singer for four years from 1996-2000, posed on the red carpet at an animal rights organisation’s launch of their re-release of Prince’s pro-vegan song “Animal Kingdom” with a tattoo as a tribute to Prince, reports mirror.co.uk.

Prince’s former beau also took to Instagram to reveal a video of his tattoo.

The tattoo features the unpronounceable symbol her former spouse in the centre and admitted the tattoo makes her both “smile and cry”.

“This makes me smile and cry… Love is eternal! Will remember that every time I look at my hand. To all of you who are hurting… I’m sorry for your pain as well! But love him for eternity! Thank you ‘nspired1’ for making such a beautiful piece and ‘luvin flying colors’ for making such a beautiful video! I’m smiling with tears. And thank you TAC cream for making it painless,” she posted.
