BJP’s Star Campaigner Tara taken to task by Mogaveera Community Leader Dr Shanker

Kundapur: In an embarrassment for the BJP, star Campaigner actress Tara Anuradha faced public wrath during the poll campaign at Bagvadi, Byndoor constituency on Friday April 19, the video of which has gone viral on the social media.

BJP’s Star Campaigner actress Tara Anuradha and Byndoor MLA Sukumar Shetty had come to the Bagvadi temple in Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency for poll campaigning where the Mogaveer Community leader Dr G Shanker openly questioned the BJP leader on the facilities given to the fishermen community by the Modi Government in last five years.

On Friday, April 19 the Car festival was held at the Bagvadi Temple. A religious meeting was also held in the afternoon where the BJP’s Star Campaigner actress Tara and Byndoor MLA Sukumar Shetty were also present. Dr G Shanker was invited by both the leaders to the meeting.

During the meeting, Dr G Shanker questioned BJP’s Star Campaigner actress Tara and Byndoor MLA Sukumar Shetty. Dr G Shanker said that for the last ten years not even a single problem of the fishermen has been solved. The Congress-led state government had twice recommended the central government to include the fishermen community under the ST category. Sadly the union government did not take any measures. We even demanded a diesel subsidy for the fishermen community but in vain.

Dr G Shanker said, “Seven of our fishermen have gone missing since 150 days. The union government is carrying out different types of surgical strikes on the border but has failed to search the missing fishermen. The Union government has not even positively responded to the families of the missing fishermen. Because of the negligence of the fishermen community by the union government, I personally campaigned against the BJP in the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha Constituency. Don’t test the fishermen community’s patience, again and again”, warned Dr G Shanker.

Dr G Shanker also said, “There are many members of the fishermen community working in the BJP today. I do not support any political party. But to protect my community I have personally campaigned against the BJP. I have great respect on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Former Chief Minister BSY. But when the fishermen issue comes I will take my stand in favour of my community. Please convey our demands to BSY. He needs to give us the assurance within three days. If he fails then our fishermen community will teach a lesson to the BJP in the Shivamogga-Byndoor Lok Sabha elections”.
