Many students had also signed online petitions opposing online examinations and the usage of PEXA software. NSUI Udupi unit had taken up the issue of students and had extensively tried to bring the problems of students to the notice of the management through various online campaigns.”

Christan Almeida also stated, “We have tried our best to bring the problems faced by the students to the notice of the management. 1. Why bother with the exams? Let the university send the convocation/degree certificate by post immediately. That way we can make every citizen an engineer. Can you imagine a country of 1.3 billion engineers? Possibilities are endless.

If those possibilities fail to come to fruition for any reason, there is plenty of land to till and we need a lot of buffaloes and Oxen

    • You’re right of course Henry James. Why should we pass students stuck in different corners of the country, dealing with a pandemic, and force them to write an exam when nobody is in the mindset to do so? Besides, using previous semester marks and internal marks to calculate overall results for ONE semester out of eight? Oh the heresy. This just makes everyone unprofessional and useless. Nooo, we can’t do that, that would be far too humane. We should just fail everyone and tell everyone to go and farm since they are good for nothing else right? That their efforts and struggles count for nothing, right?
