Fisherman Killed in Mogaveera Pattana – Murder Suspected

Update: According to Police sources, forensic experts have confirmed that Raju Kotian was killed by miscreants using a hard object.

It is suspected that the miscreants disfigured the face of the deceased and left the body in the roadside drain. Raju was woking in a boat belonging to Damodhar Suvarna.

Fisherwomen in the area under the leadership of Akhila Bharatha Hindu Mahasabha staged a protest in front of the Ullal police station and demanded to arrest the culprits within 24 hours.

Mangaluru: A 43-year-old fisherman died after unidentified people attacked him with chemical in front of Baraka Factory near Abbakka circle Ullal here on April 12.

The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Kotian (43), a resident of Mogaveera Pattana. He was working with Damodhar Suvarna.

The reason for the murder is yet to be ascertained. The body has been shifted to Wenlock hospital for post mortem.

A case has been registered in the Ullal police station.
