Mangaluru: Mystery Blast in Car near Kadri Park – No Injury, Foul Play Likely?
Mangaluru: In a complaint to the Kadri police, Maxwell Monteiro, a resident of Ashoknagar and a fleet-owner, has stated that a blast took place in the front portion of his car on Sunday.
He had arrived at the Kadri park with his wife and parked his car on the road leading to the Jogi Math. Soon after getting off and locking the door, there was a blast inside the car. When the police arrived, a detonator was reportedly found under the front seat.
The front part of the car was seen heavily damaged. Bomb experts from the city held investigations.
Sources said that experts from Bengaluru were likely to arrive from Bengaluru to hold a further probe.
Maxwell has suspected that there could be a foul play in the episode and that the detonator was placed to harm him.
