  1. May imaginary God bless them for doing such a wonderful job. These volunteers are doing what our elected representatives have failed to do!! Looking at how mangaluru folks have continued with their bad habit of littering, I am not too optimistic about future. It’s really sad to see how these places in the heart of our city look like some place in reomte Africa!!! Oh well…

    • … I am not too optimistic about future. – Rampa

      Dear Rampa,

      Never the worry.

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday.

Praying for your good health – ALWAYS.. on bended KNEES most of the days when I can.

God (Imaginary, of course!) bless you and keep you simple-minded as you always were and are.

      Best Wishes

Praveena ‘Pinto’, the Mrs, Children, grandchildren, Bai, Mai, Abbu, Akku, Doddappa Cyril Pinto, DoddaNNA, Israel’ANNA, RSS’akka et al. 🙂

      • Praveen,

The other day you said your name is Praveen D’Sa or D’Cunha and now it becomes Praveena Pinto. It appears you are a mafia don’s side-kick and have many aliases to confuse the police. I better keep a safe distance from you or the police will chew my …..

        • The other day you said your name is Praveen D’Sa or D’Cunha and now it becomes Praveena Pinto – Nelson

Arre Nellu…. haven’t you noticed the ‘Pinto’ after “Praveen”? What do the single quotes stand for?

And if you have read a tad, you know it is none other than some unknown confused Bajrangi called “original” who is in suspended animation (on account that – he is neither here NOR there) who calls me that! Who am I to break his bubble? 🙂 His happiness matters whole lot to me. Ya Ya…. I’m very selfish. I need him to be at his best and come up with MORE jokes. Sige pare? 😉

Man.. I thought you had published your book sometime back and you fail to notice the ‘pinto’? Eeewww… Good going! 🙂

          • Mr. Praveen Pinto,

I believe you were in Saudi Arabia? In which place in that hell, sorry for the bhool, I mean Saudi Arabia, you were put up? How was your experience.

In the recent past I have read three books, namely Tinderbox by M.J. Akbar, A Land of Invisible Women by Dr. Qanta A. Ahmed and Amen: An Autobiography of a Nun by Sister Jesme, an ex-Carmelite nun. You should read the last book first to realise and appreciate the difficulties faced by junior nuns, the discrimination and the politics. I do not say that all nuns are bad, but some could be rotten apples, like our netas. Many priests and nuns are doing a noble job and they are instrumental in setting up and running the best schools, colleges, hospitals, etc. That is why, contrary to what fanatical elements say, non-Catholics do not admit their children in free schools, religious or municipal schools, but want to be admitted in Catholic schools and colleges.

            However, read this book.
