State Government Gifted ‘Suicide Bhaghya’ to Honest officials – KRV
Udupi: The Karnataka Rakshna Vedike Udupi Unit held a protest on Saturday, July 9 at the Clock Tower, against the state government after a Deputy Superintendent of Police, MK Ganapathi, committed suicide on Thursday.
Addressing the protesters Prasanna Shetty, president of Karnataka Rakshna Vedike Udupi ,said that after congress came to power many police officials including the DySP of Chikkamagaluru Kallappa Handibag, Mallikarjuna Bande, IAS officer D K Ravi have ended their lives. Most of the officials are working under pressure.
“After Siddarmaiah – led Congress government came to power the administrative system has completely collapsed. The government has introduced Shadhi Bhaghya and Anna Bhaghya for the common man as well as gifted suicide Bhagya for honest officials in the state. There is no value for honest and upright officers in the state. The State government has demoralised honest officers. In an interview to a local news channel in Madikeri, the DySP had said George and two IPS officers were harassing him. The government should make an impartial inquiry and culprits should be send behind bars,” he added.
Ramesh Shetty, Santhosh Shetty, Anasar Ahammed, Abdul Rehaman, Sushanth Shetty, Shail Rahamatulla, Naseer Yakub, Yashodhar, Umesh, Gopalkrishna, Ganesh Shetty, Suresh Shetty and others were present.
