Shobha sets New Deadline for Completion of Kundpaur Flyover and Pending NH Work

Udupi: Setting a new deadline, Shobha Karandlaje MP Udupi-Chikkamagaluru said here on Monday that the flyover of Kundapur and pending work of the NH 66 will be completed by the end of December.

Speaking to media persons in Udupi on Monday, September 30, Karandlaje said that we have given a deadline to Navayug Company to complete the flyover work in Kundapur and other pending works of NH 66. If they fail to complete the work we will take action against the company.

The previous government had given the contract to Navyug Company. After our BJP government came to power the company stopped the work because of the financial crises. Later the Road and surface minister Nithin Gadkari held a meeting with company officials and provided financial help. Now, again the company has stopped the work mentioning financial problems as the reason. Recently, again the minister held a meeting with the company officials and they assured of starting the work after the rainy season. We will wait till December and if the work is not completed, we will take action against them, she said.
