New Delhi: UP minister and Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan said in Mathura that if the BJP-led Union government banned the export of beef, the killing of cows would stop.
Interestingly he chose to dare the government to ban the export of beef to stop the cow slaughter, at the inaugural function of a gaushala (cattle shelter) founded by Swami Adhokshajananda of Govardhan Pith at Govardhan Nagar.
Similarly, Khan also sought the dropping of beef from the menu of five-star hotels. He pointed out that faiths and religions never sowed the seeds of hatred. Spreading of hatred towards fellow-humans could never be considered as religion, he further said.
Answering a question, Khan termed Mayawati, the former UP chief minister ‘the biggest enemy of democracy’, citing the total breakdown of law and order during her rule.

India is the 2nd largest exporter of beef, about 20% of the beef export in the world, second to Brazil. What kind of a national hypocrisy is this? The protein rich beef is forbidden to the citizens of India, but only for export. The hypocrite cow loving politicians must keep an old cow inside their posh mansions provided by the tax-payers and they must take care of the cow like their own mother, feed and give a bath; also must take with them when they travel as if taking their own beloved mother. When the electorate of India will get some sense to understand this political trick of the politicians?
