Bengaluru: BKCS Celebrates 19th Annual Day and Christmas Get Together

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Konkani Catholic Sangh (BKCS) celebrated its 19th Annual Day and Christmas get-together at Holy Cross Hall, Maruthi Nagar, Madiwala recently.

Thomas D’Souza, former president of Karnataka Film Chamber Commerce (KFCC), was the chief guest of the event. Speaking to gathering, he said, “Being a Christian, we must accept society and lead our life in a way that Christ lead in his Jerusalem. He also had many enemies as we have in our day-to-day lives, but he was successful to win against them with positive effect.”

At the event, Santa Clause also gave his message saying, “Our families have become nuclear and our hearts have no mercy for others. Let this Christmas bring unity, peace and happiness to all of us.”

Games were conducted for the gathering. A live Baila show rocked the event making its true effect on the audience. The Baila was organized by a group of young members of the association with Alwyn Corea and Joyson Fernandes on the keyboard, drums by Dean and Agnello & Christline as the singers.

On the occasion, BKCS also honored rank holding students who received merit and above 97% in SSLC and II PUC examinations. The event was presided by president of BKCS – William Pinto. Vice president Leo Sequeira, secretary Alwyn Rasquinha, treasurer Maxim Lobo, cultural secretary Benedicta Veigas and others were also present for the event.
