Mumbai, June 28 (IANS) Hindi film icon Amitabh Bachchan has heaped praise over Bengali film “Bela Seshe: In The Autumn Of My Life” for sketching simple truths of life and relationships on camera.

The 72-year-old shared his views on his blog about the Soumitra Chatterjee-starrer film, which revolves around a married couple who decide to separate after 50 years of marriage and narrates a tale of how the decision will change their children’s life.

“There are moments in film that take your presence and turn it twist it, drench it with fact and rumble it through a drying machine to leave you dry, clean and washed with temperament…I went through it today…a Bengali film ‘Bela sheshe’ which is creating some record runs in Kolkata and Bengal,” Big B shared on his official blog.

The “Paa” actor is in awe with the storytelling of the film, which is co-directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy. The Bengali film had a pan-India release on Friday.

Amitabh, who was appreciated for portraying role of a nagging Bengali father in “Piku”, noted that the film continues to linger in his mind as it acquainted him with the truths of life.

“Such a sensitive portrayal, such depth of emotion, a spoken truth that many wish by, a simplicity that grips you and refuses to leave.”

“And as I sit back and allow it to run across my system, I find a vacuum that fills my being, a peculiar feel of my understanding of the hidden simplicity in our lives,” he added.

On the professional front, the actor is prepping up for “Wazir”, which also features multi- talented Farhan Akhtar.
