BJP misused Government Machinery to Win Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Polls – Vinay Kumar Sorake

Udupi: After BJP’s winning in the assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, former minister and Kaup MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake on Monday, December 18 accused the BJP of misusing government machinery to win the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.

Reacting on the elections to the media persons in Udupi, he said that to win the elections by hook or crook the BJP misused government machinery but Congress workers stood firm against them and did a commendable job and won 14 more assembly seats in Gujarat. The results of Gujarat or of any other state will not have any impact on us. Karnataka has different issues from Gujarat. The results will not influence politics in Karnataka.

To win the elections the BJP used the election commission directly. The Election commission is working in favour of Modi. Prime Minister Modi’s roadshow after casting vote is a clear case of violation of the model code of conduct. The Election Commission it seems is working under pressure from PM and the Union Government. Internally also the prime minister and the union government has violated the election norms by tampering the EVMs which has already been proved during the Uttarpradesh Elections. But the BJP’s winning of seats have decreased in this election and the Congress has won 14 more seats compared to the last elections. It shows that Modi’s popularity is slowly going down.

  1. Really? Is that the best you could come up with?

By the looks of it these people are s*tting in their pants by the developments today.

Let me make it absolutely clear, until pappu (or anyone from Gandi clan) is at the helm of Congress, it will be curtains for that party. May be in Karnataka assembly elections they will be able to scrape through, not because the Congress strength but because BJP lacks real leadership in the State. But overall, unless able leaders like Tharoor get leadership position, the prospects of Congress in the future are bleak.
