Udupi: CM Siddaramaiah uttama, PM Modi adama – PC Vishnunath

Udupi: CM Siddaramaiah is uttama while PM Narendra Modi is adama said AICC Secretary PC Vishnunath. He was speaking addressing the Congress Party Workers Convention of Udupi assembly constituency at the Basel Missionaries Memorial Hall, here on September 24.

The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led Congress government in Karnataka is a model government, which has delivered its promises in an effective manner. The populist schemes of Siddaramaiah’s government have strengthened the Congress base in Karnataka. The Congress party has provided a stable government in the state.

The Mane-Manege Congress campaign is promoted to compare the populist schemes of Congress with the failures of NDA government in the Centre. The BJP government earlier in State had 11 ministers who were detained in different cases, even the then Chief Minister B.S Yeddyurappa was jailed over corruption cases. The loan waiver of farmers in co-operative societies was not promised in the manifesto but the Chief Minister went ahead and waived the loans by filling in new spirit among the farmers.

The BJP led NDA government has failed to deliver its key promise in bringing back black money. The BJP in Karnataka is worried about the clean government which is functioning in Karnataka. The false propaganda is spread to woo the voters, people should not fall prey to such propaganda. The Mangalore Chalo campaign was a desperate attempt to flare up communal tension in the district, which has not worked in their favour. The deliberate attempts of disturbing peace will not work for BJP in Karnataka, he added.

Rajyasabha MP Oscar Fernandes said that while PM Indira Gandhi said Garibi Hatao, the opposition said Indira Hatao and when opposition parties are gearing up for Congress Mukth Bharath, Siddaramaiah has continued with his populist measures of Hasivu Muktha Karnataka. The party will come out stronger in the 2018 state elections, the Congress flag has to be passed on to the young generations to retain the glory of true Independence.

India is the reservoir of talents. The young budding talents are effectively trained due to the educational and technical advancements promoted by the Congress in India.

The purpose of Food Security Act is effectively served in Karnataka. The Annabhagya scheme promoted by CM Siddaramaiah led Congress government in the State has played a vital role towards building a hunger free state, he added.

Minister Pramod Madhwaraj in his presidential remarks said that the Congress aims to retain its glory in Karnataka. The 20,000 party workers and 2000 volunteers will be working in the Udupi constituency to lead the party towards victory. The State is witnessing a feast of development promoting the welfare of the people, he added.
