Los Angeles, April 11 (IANS) Actress Drew Barrymore and her husband of four years, Will Kopelman, will reportedly stay “close” even after their split.

The “Miss You Already” and Kopelman announced their separation last week, but they plan to stay friends as they are said to still have a lot of mutual respect for each other, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

A source told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “Will became close with all of her friends, and she his. They have never at any point (in their marriage) lived separate lives… This is just a case of two people mutually falling out of love, and while opposites may attract, it’s often unsustainable.”

The source also said that Kopelman supported Barrymore by travelling with her to movie sets and took care of their children on those locations.

“He was also always present as a fixture in support of her beauty and wine businesses. His father (former Chanel president Arie L. Kopelman), has even been an active sounding board for her make-up line,” said the source.

Meanwhile, the 41-year-old actress is keen to keep things “cordial” for the sake of their two daughters, Olive, three and Frankie, 23 months.

An insider shared previously: “(Drew) really wanted to give her daughters a normal family life, and she will do everything to make sure they (have one). They’re on good terms and are trying to keep everything cordial for the sake of the girls.

Kanye West’s new album hits No.1 at Billboard 200

Los Angeles, April 11 (IANS) Rapper Kanye West’s new album “The Life of Pablo”, which was first unveiled on music streaming service site Tidal in February, has entered the Billboard 200 chart at No.1 with 94,000 album units collected in the week ending April 7.

Billboard notes that “The Life of Pablo” is the first album to hit No.1 on the chart with a majority of its units stemming from streaming, reports aceshowbiz.com.

It has officially become West’s seventh studio instalment to land atop the list, following 2013’s “Yeezus”, 2011’s “Watch the Throne” (a collaboration with Jay-Z), 2010’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”, 2008’s “808’s & Heartbreak”, 2007’s “Graduation” and 2005’s “Late Registration”.

“The College Dropout” remains the rapper’s only full length to miss the No.1 spot. His debut set opened and peaked at No. 2 back in 2004.

According to Nielsen Music, 28,000 of that sum are in pure album sales. The other 66,000, around 70 percent of the total sales, are generated by streaming equivalent albums (SEA). It means the album’s tracks were streamed over 99 million times in only the US in the past week.

However, the number doesn’t include track equivalent album (TEA) since the songs of the record aren’t available for individual purchase.

Britney Spears to release her new album next month?

Los Angeles, April 11 (IANS) Singer Britney Spears is reportedly set to release her much-anticipated new album next month.

According to Las Vegas Sun’s Robin Leach, the former “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” host who is quite reliable when it comes to anything related to the pop diva, a follow-up to 2013’s “Britney Jean” could come in May, reports aceshowbiz.com.

In a tweet posted over the weekend, Leach said that Spears would select the lead single from her forthcoming record on Monday and shoot the video a week later on April 18. The album itself is “coming in four weeks.”

“Coming Monday at Vegas DeLuxe: Britney selects her new single and will shoot its video the following Monday with album coming in four weeks,” Leach tweeted on Sunday.

Spears has been working hard on what would be her ninth studio instalment with several songwriters including Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, the ones behind Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s recent hits. She has been planning to release the album later this year, but she always refuses to set a release date.

“Honestly, I’m just particular with this record. It’s my baby, and so I really want it done right,” she said of the album in an interview earlier this year.

“I just know that the direction I’m going in is so good. It’s the best thing I’ve done in a long time. I’m proud of the work, and it’s very different; it’s not what you would think at all.”
