Woman Infosys Employee Hacked To Death At Chennai Railway Station

Chennai (Agencies): A young woman employee of IT major Infosys was hacked to death in broad daylight at a railway station in Chennai on Friday.


The woman was waiting for her train to work at around 6.30 am at the Nungambakkam railway station, when the attacker allegedly approached her.

Witnesses have said that the man came up to her and after an argument, attacked her with a sharp weapon.

In a statement, Infosys said: “We are saddened by the unfortunate incident that has led to the demise of our employee in Chennai. We are working with the local authorities as they investigate the matter and will continue to provide our co-operation and support.”

The police say the woman lived in a colony close to the station.
