Iniesta dreams of retiring at Barcelona

Barcelona, July 22 (IANS) Barcelona midfield maestro Andres Iniesta has said his goal, as well as his personal dream, is to retire at the Catalan football club.

Iniesta told reporters in the Spanish city of Jaen on Thursday that Barcelona is a team facing several challenges and has enormous expertise, and said that he will try to maintain top form with Barca after 12 years among its ranks.

The 33-year-old player explained he is going to play football for years to come, reports Efe.

Iniesta started off his career in Barcelona B in 2001 before he joined the first team in 2003, with whom he scored 34 goals in 389 games.
