Kannada Sangha Bahrain Holds Yoga Day

Manama: Karnataka State Award Winner, Kannada Sangha Bahrain recently organized Yoga day to mark the international Day of Yoga under the patronage of The Indian Club, Manama. The event started with a prayer song by Sharwani Manjunath.


Padmashree, Dr H R Nagendra, Chairman, Committee of Yoga experts for common yoga protocol, Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India and Chancellor , Swami Vivekananda Yoga AnusandhanaSamsthana, University, Bangalore, was the Guest of Honour and keynote speaker from India.

Dr Manjunath N K., Joint Director of SVYASA University, Bangalore, Muneera Obaidli, well known Health Coach & Public Speaker from Bahrain and Ebrahim Ahmadi, well known Businessman, Founder of Smile2health now, from Bahrain were the other guests of honour and speakers. Anand Prakash, Second Secretary, The Embassy of India in Bahrain was the Chief Guest of the event. Pradeep Shetty, President, Kannada Sangha, D Ramesh, VP, Kannada Sangha and Ashok Kumar, General Secretary, Indian club were on the stage.

Kiran Upadhyay, General Secretary and Varun Hegde, Entertainment Secretary, Kannada Sangha conducted the stage proceedings and delivered the vote of thanks respectively. KSB President Pradeep Shetty did the honouring to Padmashree Dr H R Nagendra and all other guests were felicitated with a memento.

Almost 100 participants enjoyed the Yoga Practice session, conducted by Dr Manjunath N K during the event.
