Katie Price has started process of adopting child

London, Sep 11 (IANS) TV personality Katie Price is planning to adopt a sixth child to add to her brood.

The 38-year-old star, who has Harvey, 14, Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, from past relationships, and Jett, three, and Bunny, two, with her husband Kieran Hayler, has revealed she wants to “give her body a rest” and so has turned to adoption to welcome her sixth child, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“I’ve already started the process to adopt, so fingers crossed. You have to do everything legally and go down that road. The problem isn’t just getting a child, that’s the easy bit, it’s all the checks,” Price said in a Facebook live chat.

“I’m just waiting to be interviewed by the adoption agency. I’ve always said I’d love to adopt and I feel this is the right child now to do it … I feel like I don’t want any myself physically, I feel like a baby machine. I want to give my body a rest,” she added.

Price isn’t worried about critics berating her for having another child.

“If I can offer a home to another child, why not. If I’ve got the money, love and support, it’s better than a child being dead or not having a home,” she said.
