Mangaluru: Minister Khader Travels by Auto to Hold Press Meet at Eden Club

Mangaluru: We have never seen such a down-to-earth minister who is ready to serve the society. When he sees a person suffering or someone who met with an accident, he himself takes the initiative to get them to a hospital in his own car. This is another kind of act where the Health and Family Welfare Minister, U T Khader, had to travel by auto for a press meet at Eden Club here, on July 18.

Prior to the press meet, minister U T Khader visited the psychiatric department at Nitte Hospital and celebrated Eid-ul-fitr with the patients. Later, he proceeded towards the Kadri temple to take part in the Puja held by the family members of late Yashwanti Alva (Vice president of District Congress).

When he was returning from Kadri temple, Khader’s vehicle was held in the parking lot because of unruly parking. In order to reach the press meet on time, Khader took an auto and proceeded to the press meet scheduled at 1 pm while his vehicle reached 1/2 an hour later to the Eden club.

Speaking to mediapersons Khader said, “If I would have waited for my car, I would not have been able to reach the press meet on time. So, I thought of travelling by auto.”

Later, a press meet was held regarding the opening of the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) at Government Wenlock Hospital.

  1. Again, don’t get me wrong. I have a lot of respect for this man because he shows so much passion to serve people. However, our media needs to raise standards a little bit. There is nothing great in using a normal mode of transportation by an elected official whose primary job is to represent people. Unfortunately, we treat them as if they are from a royal family and pamper them with all additional attention and perks. I remember an incident in the state of Wisconsin 8-9 years ago, when then-governor Jim Doyle showed up at an event all by himself. He drove his car and showed up on time at the corporate headquarters without any drama that we are accustomed to see with our incompetent Indian politicians.

Wow! Did he get a Nobel prize for err…..gasp.. gasp.. gulp…. err.. what do we give him? The Peace prize was given to that fellow called Obama EVEN before he assumed ‘aapiss’. Hey, Rampu’ji…how about a Nobel for Environmental Awareness and/or Timely Turn-up?

ANOTHER good joke ya Rampu’ji. 🙂 More, plz.

      • Not sure why Joker Praveena comments on US politics when he is only qualified for commenting on Ullala’s beedi industry! Somehow, in his twisted reality, an old copy of rejected visa application makes him an expert on a country that he has never visited!! LOL What a pure anganawaadi fantasy!! smiles…

Sir,What about Narendra Modi ditching ‘Make in India’ Mahindra Scorpio and opting for a specially designed ‘Made in Germany’ BWM armoured 7 Series?

Did Modi didn’t trust the word of Anand Mahindra, chairman and managing director, Mahindra & Mahindra, was reported saying that it would be a moment of pride for every Indian if Mr. Modi chooses the indigenous Scorpio as his official mode of transport?

Is India’s national security challenges in the hands of our soliders riding M&M’s (Mahindra’s) Axe is the Indian answer to the American Hummer is safe bet if PM hesistant to ride?

Why can’t PM Modi take metro ride like Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and save public spending?Show me one BJP leader opted for public transport opted like Former union minister Veerapa Moily?
