Naxal banners found in Karkala

Karkala: Naxal activities have resurfaced again in Karkala after a gap of many years. The presence of banners and slogans on the compound wall of the government higher primary school at Nooralbettu of Karkal Taluk were noticed here on July 30.

According to the police, naxalites might have stepped into the school premises between July 29 night and 30 morning and left the place after placing banners and flags supporting the Naxals. The Karkala Rural police rushed to the spot and seized 5 hand written banners, 4 posters, 3 flags, and seven handwritten and printed handbills.

A case has been registered in Karkala Rural Police Station.
