Kundapur: Brahmavar circle inspector Arun B Nayak intercepted a car driven by Sudhindra Upadhya from Udupi towards Tekkatte.

He was found speaking on his mobile phone while at the time speeding and driving negligently. A case has been registered against him in Kota police station.

Another case has been registered at the Kota police station regarding rash driving by car driver at Sastan. Yallappa from Bhagyanagar of Koppal was hit by the car while crossing the road. Severely injured, he was rushedd to a hospital in Manipal.

Shankara Madivala (54), a resident of Jeddinakodlu in Mavinakatte of Karkunje village, accidentally fell into an unprotected well near Mavinakatte. As he fell, a ring of the well is said to have hit his head. He died of severe injuries.

A bike in which Manjunath and Harish were riding went out of the rider’s control at Badabalu in Siddapur village in the taluk. Both are said to have been critically injured. A case has been registered in Shankaranarayana police station.
