No terror threat for Dharma Sansad do Not Panic – SP Sanjeev Patil
Udupi: Though the Dharma Sansad is underway in Udupi city, the intelligence department warned that there may be a terror threat during the programme.
The Electronic media have been flashing news that on Friday, the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Pejawar Swamiji made a strong pitch for building the Ram Mandir on the disputed site at Ayodhya. The Intelligence department has received a message from the center that there are possibilities of a Terror threat for the Dharma Sansad programme and Hindu Samajyotsava. The Police department has installed metal detectors at sensitive areas and a bomb detection team has been monitoring the area.
When Mangalorean.com contacted SP Dr Sanjeev Patil, he said that there is no terror threat during the Dharma Sansad Programme. The public should not give heed to the false rumours being spread about the threat to the Dharma Sansad. The VVIP’s like Praveen Thogadia, Mohan Bhagwat are in the city and as a precautionary measure, the bomb detection team is checking the entire venue. The department has installed metal detectors from day one and taken all necessary measures for the smooth conduct of the programme.
