Petrol Attack on Couple, Man sustains Burn Injuries
Mangaluru: Miscreants poured Petrol through the ventilator of the bedroom and attempted to burn alive Taranath Yadav and his family at Basti Padpu, Ullal Police station limits here on October 29.
In the petrol attack, Taranath Yadav has sustained burn injuries on both his hands and is admitted to the hospital.
According to police, some miscreants poured petrol through the bedroom ventilator of Taranath’s house and ignited it. When the fire started suddenly, Taranath’s wife Vidya (45) and son Mithun (10) with their presence of mind escaped unhurt.
Taranath sustained burn injuries on both the hands and has been admitted to the hospital.
Ullal police inspector Shivakumar and team visited the spot.
A case has been registered and the investigation is on.

Really sad.
I’ve a feeling that there is something more to this story. I don’t recall any previous incidents where similar approach was used. An attempted murder using Petrol bomb in Ullaala points at usual suspects. Well, let’s wait and see what police find out.
