Theft of Valuables Worth Rs 5.50 Lakh in Doddanagudde House

Udupi: Raghavendra Somayaji, a resident of Doddanagudde here, had gone to Bengaluru with his wife and daughter on July 1 to attend the post-obsequies ceremony of a relative there.

When they returned on Tuesday, July 5, the door of the house was found broken open. On verification, valuables of gold and silver worth Rs 5.50 were missing. The latch of the main door had been cracked open.

The thieves broke open one of the wardrobes and found the keys of another one and looted both of them.

A cae has been registered in the town police station.
