Udupi District Police Destroy 3.78 Kgs Ganja

Udupi: A total of 3.78 kilograms of Ganja was destroyed by the president of Drug disposal committee Laxman Nimbargi on the orders of the court in the district police office premises here on Friday, February 23.

Acting on the district court judgment, a team of officers led by Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi disposed of the drugs seized in 4 cases reported in Manipal, CEN PS Police Stations. As per the orders of the court, the Drug Disposal Committee destroyed the seized ‘ganja’ by burning it. The entire process was video-recorded.

SP Laxman Nimbargi, Additional SP Kumar Chandra, DySP Udupi Kumaraswamy, Karkala probationary ASP Rishikesh Sonavane and other police officials were present.
