Udupi: Students of St Mary’s English School bag various awards in Sports

Udupi: The Students of St Mary’s English School Kannarpadi have bagged awards in sports organised by various associations.

School students Shreya, Shraddha, Susan, and Chelsia have secured second place in interschool Table Tennis competition organised by the Association of CBSE and ICSE schools.2-topers-001 3-topers-002 4-topers-003



In the district level open badminton tournament, held at Kundapur, organised by Kundapur Friends the School has recorded outstanding performance. Glancia won in the under 17 girls singles and was the runner-up in open doubles. Neha Harish won the runner-up in the below 17 girl’s singles and open doubles. Shreya won in the under 17 girls section Table Tennis Tournament.

In the Shuttle Badminton Tournament held at Mangalore organised by Torpedoes Sports Club. Glancia Pinto won the first place in the under 17 girls singles. Shamanth Rao bagged the first place in under 17 boys singles. Prasidh reached the semifinals in under 13 boys singles. In the Table Tennis tournament Shreya bagged the third place in under 17 girls singles and women’s singles.

In the district level ‘Youth festival 2015’ organised by JCI Parkala the students of the school bagged many prizes. Aafaq and Anurag were awarded second prize in science model making. In the drawing competition primary section Cherish Mascharenas and Sathvik won the first and third prizes respectively. Srivatsa from secondary section got the consolation prize in the drawing competition. Surabhi from St Mary’s English School won the third prize in story telling competition.
