Udupi: Two injured in Ex-CM HDK’s Escort Vehicle Accident

Udupi: Two policemen were injured when former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy’s escort vehicle met with an accident at Atradi near Hiriyadka on Sunday, November 1.

The injured policemen are SI Gopal Krishna (50) and driver Manjunath (40) from Bengaluru.

According to the police, Kumaraswamy was travelling from Shringeri to Udupi to attend the JD(S) party office inauguration programme. When his escort vehicle tried to overtake another vehicle, it collided with a private bus. The SI and driver sustained minor injuries in the accident and have been admitted to KMC Hospital Manipal.

A case has been registered in the Hiriyadka Police Station.
