Udupi VHP leader assaults Social development department Group D Worker
Udupi: The Udupi City Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Santhosh Suvarna allegedly assaulted a Group D worker of the Social development department on Monday, March 19.
The injured Group D worker Angara Suvarna (56) has been admitted to a private hospital with serious injuries. A complaint was registered against Santosh Suvarna in the Udupi Town Station.
According to the complaint, The Udupi Taluk Social development department building renovation work was in progress. VHP leader Santhosh Suvarna was the contractor for the building. On Monday as the work in progress, Angara asked Santhosh to speed up the work of the building. Angered by it, Santhosh assaulted Angara with a wooden log. Angara has suffered serious injuries in the hand and is admitted to a private hospital in Udupi.
The Udupi Town Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
