Woman Passenger’s Vanity Bag with Valuables Stolen from Train

Udupi: Subhashini, a resident of Palli cross on Karkala-Bailur road, has filed a complaint with the railway security authorities here regarding a theft while she travelled by train last week.

She was travelling in Kochuveli Express on her way home on the night of July 17. In early next morning around 3:30, she had placed her vanity bag under her head and gone to sleep. When she woke up after some time, the bag had gone missing.

She has stated that the contents included her PAN card, ID card, ATM card, Rs 14,000 in cash, a mobile phone and 30 gms gold. The total value has been mentioned as Rs 1 lakh.
