10 Die of COVID-19 and 163 Persons Test Positive in DK on August 2
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, ten persons have died of COVID-19, and 163 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Dakshina Kannada district on August 2.
Out of the 163 cases tested positive, 107 persons are from Mangaluru, 13 from Bantwal, 19 from Belthangady, 11 from Puttur, one from Sullia, 9 from other districts, and 3 persons from other states.
So far 6015 positive cases have been reported in the district, and 169 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 3116 active cases in the district.
All the 163 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, 45 persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
