126 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on August 3
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 126 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on August 3 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 4800.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1952. So far, 2812 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 36 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
39 persons with symptoms of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), Influenza-Like Illness (ILI), and COVID suspects have been admitted to the isolation wards in the district.
As of now, 526 throat swab samples are pending for results, 1122 samples were sent for testing on August 3 and 1086 samples were tested negative. So far, a total of 29174 swab samples out of the 34500 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
