149 Persons Test Positive And 5 Die Of COVID-19 in DK on July 21

Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 149 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and five persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 21.

Out of the 149 positive cases, twenty-three persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. One person had returned from the Gulf. Sixty-seven persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and Twenty-two persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of fifteen others.

All the 149 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, 127 persons were also discharged from the hospital after complete recovery.
