15-year-old Student Commits Suicide by Hanging
Puttur: A 15-year-old Student committed suicide by hanging himself at Koltige, Perlampady here on February 20.
The deceased has been identified as Suhas (15), son of Kumar Govindappa under the Bellare police station limits.
According to the police on February 20, between 8:00 am to 3:30 pm when Suhas was alone at home, he hanged himself to the ceiling fan. Suhas was studying in 10th standard at the Sandipani Educational Institution, Narimogeru.
It is learnt that from the past six months Suhas was suffering from health issues and was being treated in a hospital in Mangaluru. Since he was unable to attend school regularly during treatment might have led him to take the extreme step.
A case has been registered under 174 CrPC and investigation is on.
